SASKATCHEWAN — In spite of a challenging economy, Saskatchewan’s agri-food exports have surpassed Ontario for the first time, according to canadianmanufacturing.com.

According to the report, 2011 figures show Saskatchewan exceeded $10 billion in agri-food exports, making it the top agri-food exporting province in Canada.

SASKATOON — October will mark the end of more than 35 years of business for John’s Prime Rib and Steakhouse, located in downtown Saskatoon, according to The StarPhoenix.

Owner Jim Chrones runs the family business, which he took over when his father, John, retired.
