The Vancouver restaurant has developed a following for its $10 lunch specials, Happy Hour drinks and appetizers as well as for its resident Friday night DJ playing lounge beats.

VANCOUVER — David Hawksworth’s culinary influence is being recognized again this year in Vancouver magazine’s 24th annual Restaurant Awards.
For the second consecutive year, Hawksworth Restaurant was named Best Restaurant and Best Upscale Restaurant, while Hawksworth was named Best Chef again. Wildebeest won in the Best New Restaurant category.

VANCOUVER — The Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is gearing up to host a special dinner with David Suzuki and other sustainable seafood advocates May 3 to show support for a proposed National Sustainable Seafood Day.
“A Seafood Celebration with David Suzuki and Guests,” will be hosted by Ned Bell, executive chef of Yew Restaurant and Bar as well as Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program, SeaChoice, Blueyou and the David Suzuki Foundation.

NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. — Vancouver’s Fraîche Restaurant will soon be home to executive chef Carol Chow, who is replacing interim chef Jason Harris. Harris is joining the team at B.C.’s West Coast Fishing Club.
Chow graduated from the Dubrulle Culinary Institute in 1987 and has served as executive chef in B.C. restaurants such as Gusto di Quattro, Teahouse in Stanley Park, Hart House Restaurant and Bishop’s.
