VANCOUVER — Industry heavyweights have joined to launch a new show that will bring together the foodservice and hospitality industry in a one-stop shop.
Connect, B.C.’s new food, drink and lodging expo, will premiere Oct. 27 to 28 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

VANCOUVER, B.C. — The Canadian foodservice industry will be abuzz this weekend at the annual B.C. Foodservice Expo, which will run from Jan. 27 to 28 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.
Aside from showroom exhibits, chef competitions will abound at the show. To start, 12 professional chefs will vie for the title of B.C. Chef of the Year, creating a dish from black-box ingredients.

RICHMOND, B.C. — Angry Richmond, B.C., farmers took to the street with their trackers Thursday, driving to city hall to protest the dumping of asphalt on a Finn Road farm in Richmond, B.C.
The farmer’s are concerned about how the asphalt will affect the fertility of prime farmland, but Mayor Malcolm Brodie said it’s beyond his control.
