Waterloo_DarkVICTORIA, B.C. — The Brick Brewing Co.’s Waterloo Dark beer took home gold in the North American Style Dark Lager category, at the annual Canadian Brewing Awards, held in Victoria, B.C., last week.

“This is a great recognition for Waterloo Dark and everything we're doing here at Waterloo Brewing Co.,” said Russell Tabata, COO, Brick Brewing, based in Ontario.

VANCOUVER — Robert Clark, the chef who helped spearhead the sustainable seafood movement in Vancouver, is opening his own seafood store called The Fish Counter, according to The Vancouver Sun.

Clark, who previously helmed Vancouver’s C Restaurant, told The Vancouver Sun this new venture is an extension of his passion.

VANCOUVER — News has surfaced about the cause of Anthony Sedlak’s death. The Vancouver celebrity chef died last summer from what his family stated as an undiagnosed medical condition.

A recently released coroner’s report, dated Dec. 12, 2012, listed the official cause of death as an “intentional ingestion of excessive amounts of cocaine and oxycodone,” according to CBC News.
