EDMONTON — Students hoping to get an education in the culinary arts in Alberta may soon find it a little more difficult. If a recent proposal from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is accepted, the whole process is going to be much more costly for the province’s next team of toques.

According to a CBC report, the school plans to increase tuition by some 40 per cent over the next three years, and that has some students worried about making the grade. "That's huge. I mean, some people who are on a really tight budget, I don't know where they're going to come up with that money," Fernando Lopez, a NAIT student told the CBC.
