KELOWNA, B.C. — This past weekend, on Feb. 11, Marc Lepine, the owner and chef of Ottawa’s Atelier served a 12-course tasting menu of Quadra Island scallops with potatoes, truffle, chanterelle, chorizo and lemon to win gold at the Canadian Culinary Championships in Kelowna, B.C. 

TORONTO — The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro is set to open in 50 additional locations across Canada, thanks to the success of its new Ontario stores in London, Kingston, Ottawa, Guelph and Oakville.

Founded in Ottawa in 2001, the full-service bistro is known for its 68 gourmet burgers combos, fresh-cut fries, classic shakes and beer.

VANCOUVER — Pizza Pizza’s CEO Paul Goddard will be one of the next execs to exchange his business suit for a company uniform in an upcoming episode of the new W Network series, Undercover Boss Canada.

Goddard assumed an alias and posed as a company trainee doing work he described to Postmedia as mentally and physically exhausting.
