The espresso-based coffees — which will include lattes, mocha lattes and cappuccinos — will launch in almost 3,000 Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada and the U.S. on Nov. 14. Starting at $2 a cup, the brand aims to make the premium product more mainstream and affordable. “The unique blends we've developed deliver a rich, creamy drink, consistently and fast. With nearly half a century of coffee experience, we've learned how to produce premium coffee, consistently, at value prices,” said Paul House, interim president and CEO at the chain. The espresso, made with Arabica coffee beans, will be brewed using automated coffee machines. Ontario stores will be the first to offer the new drinks, which will eventually be rolled out to other provinces within Canada as well as the U.S. market.
