JambaJuice-smoothies-healthierEMERYVILLE, Calif. — Jamba Juice has introduced a lighter version of its classic line of smoothies, with the launch of ‘Make It Light’ options, which contain one-third less calories, sugar and carbohydrates.

“Jamba Juice has been a leader in supporting our fans' healthy, active lifestyles with innovative, better-for-you beverages for over 20 years, so it’s fitting we now offer the [lighter] option,” said Julie Washington, the brand’s senior VP and chief brand officer.

The lighter flavours include strawberry, banana-berry, pomegranate, and pineapple among several others.

The California-based company recently opened its 30th international store in the Philippines. The chain has grown significantly in the past 18 months, with 20 stores now open in South Korea, seven in Canada, and three in the Philippines.
