BURLINGTON, Vt.. — Ben & Jerry’s is waffling no more on the name of its Canadian-themed flavour, as Burlington, Ont., resident Carolee Dunn has bestowed the witty moniker “Oh, Cone-ada” on the waffle-tinged concoction. The contest to name the vanilla, fudge and waffle confection began in April, when the Vermont-based company asked Canadian customers to name the Canuck-themed flavour that they temporarily dubbed “We Are Waffling.” Contestants were invited to share suggestions on Ben & Jerry’s Facebook page. “Because it had waffle cone pieces, I wanted to put something that had the word cone in it, and that is how I came up with the title,” Dunn, a 27-year-old student nurse, told the Canadian Press. As an added — and tasty bonus — Dunn will receive a year’s supply of “Oh Cone-ada!” Look for the newly minted flavour on shelves this fall. Photo courtesy of Ben & Jerry’s.
