One thing that impresses me about the WSET courses is the quality of their textbooks and other course materials. It’s cutting-edge, world-class information,” said Bruce McAdams, a professor in the school, who has taken both courses. The first-level course runs Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 and is meant to serve as an introduction to wine styles, grape varieties and matching wine with food. The second-level course is 10 weeks; it begins Sept. 24 and runs for one evening a week. The course will offer more in-depth lessons on wine and teach students about the production of spirits. The courses are offered under the Wine and Spirits Education Trust certification, a widely recognized accreditation.
