“The idea for The Little Grape That Could [TLGTC] grew out of a request from a charity who asked me to come up with an innovative way for them to raise money,” says Brett Preston, founder of TLGTC. “I had a few thoughts, but my father, who loved big ideas, encouraged me to ask myself: why raise funds for a single cause when there are so many worthy causes out there?” The Little Grape That Could, based in Toronto, introduced the new wines at select LCBO stores across Ontario for $11.95 each. Customers can purchase a bottle of its Cabernet Sauvignon or Torrontés wine, and using codes found on bottles, choose a charity from a list of seven on its website at TheLittleGrapeThatCould.com. In memory of Preston’s father, customers are encouraged to submit a name and toast of a person they’d like to honour; that person may be featured on a bottle. Nominations can be submitted on the TLGTC website. Keep Reading Terrasse de Lalande Introduces New Rose Wine Wine Jobs Site Launched in Canada Five Canadian Wineries Step Into Limelight |
