OAKVILLE, Ont. — There’s a new frozen-yogurt player in Oakville, Ont., with news that Lemondrop Frozen Yogurt is open at the Upper Oakville Shopping Centre, and management is planning a grand opening with free samples on June 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“We are so excited to introduce this new and exciting self-serve concept to the Joshua Creek community. So far it has been exceptionally well-received from both young and young-at-hearts,” said Michael Chau, GM of the new Oakville location. “People keep coming back to check on which new flavours we're offering, and we're amazed at the creativity we're seeing. We expect a huge turnout for the grand opening event and can't wait to introduce more people to this new experience.”

Aside from free frozen yogurt, the grand opening will include prizes, giveaways and activities as well as a visit from Oakville mayor, Rob Burton.

The self-serve concept features more than 80 rotating flavours of fat-free frozen yogurt and sorbet, such as Lemondrop Signature Tart as well as non-dairy and gluten-free options. Customers choose from 60 toppings.
