HALIFAX — It’s the end of an era for King of Donair, one of Halifax’s legendary restaurants, located on Pizza Corner. The company recently announced it plans to close its doors this spring after more than 20 years in business.

With the lease expiring in May 2012, Bassam Nahas, the pizzeria owner wound up in small claims court over compensation for renovations that he had funded.

HALIFAX — Clay West Bar & Grill opened its doors in Bayers Lake Business Park in Halifax last week, after two years of renovations.

Formerly Kokomo’s, the 200-seat restaurant boasts an urban concept with clean lines and earth tones.

LUNENBURG, N.S. — It’s official — High Liner Foods Incorporated has completed its acquisition of Icelandic Group’s U.S. and Asian operations, a deal that was announced in late November.
